Meet Emma!
Emma is a warm and dedicated paediatric Occupational Therapist who is passionate about helping children feel confident, capable, and joyful in their everyday lives. Emma completed her Master of Occupational Therapy at La Trobe University, where she immersed herself in paediatric learning and development. During this time, she also partnered with Headspace to create social stories that support children and teenagers in understanding their emotions and skill-building needs, a project that reflects her thoughtful, child centred approach.
Emma’s training has equipped her with a strong understanding of child development, sensory processing, emotional regulation, and the foundations of independence. She places great importance on truly getting to know each child, their strengths, interests, and unique ways of learning and shaping therapy around what helps them thrive. Families often describe her as calm, attentive, and genuinely invested in helping children make meaningful progress.
At EquipKids, Emma uses a play based, relationship focused approach that helps children feel safe, motivated, and engaged. She loves supporting kids as they build skills in self care, fine and gross motor development, emotional regulation, and social confidence. She also works collaboratively with parents, believing that simple, practical support at home can empower families and make a significant difference in everyday routines.
Outside the clinic, Emma recharges in nature, whether she’s jogging outdoors, horse riding, or snowboarding. She brings this same sense of energy, curiosity, and joy into her therapy sessions, creating an environment where children feel encouraged, supported, and excited to learn.
